Kelly is from Manchester. She formed her first band, Freedom, at the age of 16, performing mainly in clubs and restaurants.

She got together with Kevin O'Toole in 1994, they made a record - the result was Set You Free on white label under the name N-Trance.

She attempt to go solo after that, having got a deal with Pukka Records, but her first release Brighter Day failed to have the chart success she'd managed with N-Trance.

In 2001 N-Trance re-released Set You Free and Kelly was back. Asked to do the vocals on Flip & Fill's True Love Never Dies and she had another chart success on her hands.

In 2002 she released her debut album, All Clubbed Up featuring all the tracks she has worked on in the past, plus some of her own stuff.
