Congratulations on the new album. So how does it feel
to be releasing an album of your own? |
| Kelly: |
Thanks, its been a long time coming as I've been
working on other artists albums (Ntrance etc) so now its nice that its my turn!! Haha |
| Beatz: |
You were around in the "old skool" dayz with N-Trance,
and you're back in 2002, still ripping up the dancefloors. How does that feel? |
| Kelly: |
After being around for 10yrs I find it satisfying to
know that people still enjoy what I do |
| Beatz: |
You've co-written a number of tracks on the album. What
inspires you when you're putting the tracks together? |
| Kelly: |
Everything from being in love to watching sunsets
after a night out!! |
| Beatz: |
Loads of top 10 singles, an excellent album of your
own. What's next? |
| Kelly: |
A solo tour would be nice which could happen early
next year! |
| Beatz: |
If you were to sing a duet with someone, who would you
want it to be? |
| Kelly: |
I really like Stevie Wonder, George Michael &
Justin Timberlake but it'd be more realistic to duet with someone like Byron Stingily etc |
| Beatz: |
Who are your favourite DJs? |
| Kelly: |
Junior K , the DJ for Ntrance is wicked-he also
plays a good house set! |
| Beatz: |
What are your favourite dance tracks at the moment? |
| Kelly: |
DJ Sammy is a good pop trance tune, Cosmos with Roachford is cool, I also
like the Cassius track-Sound Of Violence & Missy Elliot's "Work It" |
| Beatz: |
Favourite club? |
| Kelly: |
I dont get much chance to go ravin but Charles St in
Sheffield is really good. |
| Beatz: |
Some say that dance music is dying. The kids of today
are into rap metal, clubs are closing, dance tracks aren't ruling the charts as much as they
have done in the past. Do you think that we will see dance going underground or can it continue
main stream? |
| Kelly: |
I dont think dance is dead but all these covers that #
have emerged since I did tell it to my heart aint doin it any good. Funky house has sort of gone
back underground so maybe trance will 2. |
| Beatz: |
The Internet. Good or bad for dance music? |
| Kelly: |
Good for info on tunes & artists etc but bad for
piracy. |
