>Hi Jules, thanks for the time...
>Good to see Judgement Sundays returning to Eden in the
summer. Do you ever grow tired of the Ibiza madness? Or put
another way, are you looking forward to it?
There's nothing I look forward to more...
>What do you love about the Ibiza scene?
A small island with amenities for every rung of the social
ladder, from eighteen year olds on a meagre budget to
millionaires on yachts and everything inbetween.
>What do you hate about the Ibiza scene?
The lack of direct flights in wintertime, and the small
mindedness of some of the island's politicians.
>As well as Ibiza, of course we're fast approaching the festival
season. Is there any particular festival that you look forward
to? One that's perhaps special for you?
They're the events that I'll tell the grandchildren about when
I'm old and grey. Standing on the Radio 1 outdoor sound stage
staring at a sea of people as far as the eye can see is a buzz
that's almost impossible to put into words.
>After you've done your sets in Ibiza or at festivals, do you
hang around to catch the other DJs/acts and if so is there
anyone in particular you look out for, or do you head home /
back to your hotel?
I don't look at the flyer in advance, but I try and check out
pretty much every tent to see what the vibe's like.
>What's your most favourite clubbing experience?
Just the buzz of performing in front of the a crowd and seeing
them respond to your favourite tunes is the ultimate drug.
>What's your worst?
Every dj goes through the learning curve of not being paid, doing
empty gigs, having altercations with security etc, but it's part
of the dj growing-process and thankfully not something I still
have to suffer.
>Can we expect to hear anymore Hi-Gate material in the near
future?
I've been slowly working on a solo album, and that'll be my next
major musical project.
>If someone was to make a film about your life, who'd you want to
play you? And who would you want to direct it?
John Cusack/Quentin Tarantino
>What's your top 5 tunes of the moment?
Ferry Corsten- It's time
Digital delay- Love put us into
Hemstock and Jennings- Reverence
Bobak and Lambert- The battle
Dj Ernesto- Stop 95
