What inspires you to make the music you do?
This is a hard question!!! When i began producing, it was more for the need of a specific techno sound to fit into my sets and inspiration came from mixing other producers tracks but gradually i began making more and more lighter stuff (maybe its because i'm getting old - i am nearly 24 after all). I have found that when i try to recreate a specific sound, it always seems to turn out quite original...so in a nutshell... I'm not too sure but i like to think that listening to all kinds of music is what inspires me.

How would you best describe your album "Anti-Social Behaviour"? (it's a great album BTW)
Thank you very much! I suppose i would describe it as a mash up of past&present dance music styles with a lot of instrumental stuff, quite a lot of messed up beats, ups, downs and some downright grittyness thrown in there for good measure.

Why anti-social behaviour? Do you feel your music or dance music is ant-social, or does it have a different meaning?
In early to mid 2007, my label, Gobsmacked, was running techno events throughout Ireland with the hub being Waterford city. Through some quite underhanded tactics, the authorities in Waterford curbed all dance events because they viewed them as antisocial. This gave me quite a lot of time and i began putting serious hours into producing the album so the name fits.

What else can we look forward to from Gobsmacked?
Well...quite a lot actually. Plenty of stuff on Vinyl and digital download. Mainly more specialist techno but i have a number of 'Antisocial Remix's' volumes piling up. Tracks from the album, all remixed and revamped to suit different styles. We have quite a few really up and coming artists who are working they're asses off on some wicked releases & lot of releases by already established artists in the techno arena. A mix cd is in the pipeline and some more 'antisocial behaviour-esque' single releases. Plenty to do so i think im going to have to lay off the partying for a while.

What's been your clubbing highlight of 2008?
Hearing Dave Clarke playing one of my releases when he headlined at the last I Love Techno festival.

What are the perks of being a dance artist and what are the disadvantages?
I think that with Dance music, its very possible to go it alone and develop a career without relying on large labels or huge media hype. Non commercial Dance music has its own business infrastructures and steps for artist and performer development. Getting out there is all about the effort you put in and not about the amount of money you have. One disadvantage is that dance music is subject to constant stereotyping and fans of other types of music seem to look down on it which can get very frustrating.

What's in your CD player or on your iPod at the moment?
A brilliant Vitalic set, some Aphex Twin, Some old Radiohead stuff. A bucketload of techno sets and a lot of new material that im not quite finished producing yet.

What was the last movie you watched?
'In Bruges' with Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson - great film for a laugh.

Of all the people in the world who would you like to meet and why?
Michael Moore - i love conspiracy theories and he's the man for the coming up with believable ones.

If your life story was to be made into a film, who would you want to play you and who would you want to direct the movie?
I'd probably throw Jack Black in there to play me because he is hilarious and get Jerry Bruckheimer to direct it so there would be plenty of big explosions. I think it'd make a great movie.
