Oakenfold's first album was OK but lacked the kind of trance tunes I
was hoping for from the DJ master and, for me atleast, had limited
listening life.
When I started listening to this new album I thought I was going to
feel the same about this one. But once you get past the initial few
cheesy pop songs, this album is much better and indeed contains some
cracking trance and prog house tunes.
Although admitedly there is nothing wrong with Faster Kill Pussycat the
first few tracks are pure cheese with a track that sounds like the
Knight Rider theme, one that sounds like T Rex and another that sounds
like a rip off of Paul's Swordfish soundtrack. But I suggest you don't
let these put you off - you should buy this album for the rest of the
tracks and you never know the other tracks might just grow on you.
