DJ Bobby B, former member of Da Nayborhoodz and current member of the Kottonmouth Kings presents the groups debut album, featuring the talents of Minus One, Cringe and Tristate.

Billed as pulling hip hop back to its roots, this album represents a new movement in west coast rap. Sounding more like a mix of Jay-Z style tracks with really hard deep beats in other tunes, and MOP style on others, with lots of hard gangsta style lyrics, this album is well worth a listen for any type of hip hop fan - there's something here for everyone.

My particular favourite is Listen Up featuring Onique, with its dark beats and heavy rap. But that's the beauty of this album, you get a dark, hard track like this, but then the next track has guitar chords, sounding more like a Wycleff Jean pop track; few tracks on you get an NWA sound.

It's this variation that pulls this album together and makes it sound different from the rest; you'll have to check the tracklisting to realise this isn't a rap compilation!
