Having taken 3 years to complete it takes you through an epic journey with two of the best producers in dance music today - prepare to see both sides of Hi-Gate's psyche!

For those not in the know Hi-Gate are international dance guru and Radio 1 DJ, JUDGE JULES along with long term, chart topping production partner, PAUL MASTERSON.

An impressively, strong debut album sees Jules and Masterson working within several different genres and collaborating with some of the most talented vocalists in the business. The resulting work is highly polished and will appeal to many tastes, thoroughly showcasing a developed, refreshing and original musical talent. Never has an album had more stories to tell.

The Jules and Masterson partnership has been ubiquitous in dance music circles over the past few years, between their successful international DJ careers, production and remix work for the world's major labels - VIRGIN, WARNER, UNIVERSAL and MINISTRY, as well as 6 club hits under the Hi-Gate guise and underground successes under various production aliases.

SPLIT PERSONALITY comes as 2 CDS packed with original material. CD 1 is a cascade of beautifully laid-back melodies to seduce your stereo that include the enchanting vocal talents of DIANE CHARLEMAGNE, on ONLY THE SILENCE (infamous for her current work with MOBY as well as GOLDIE'S classic INNER CITY LIFE) whilst BOY GEORGE lays his soul bare on both the reflective POVERTY and the emotional OUT OF FASHION. 'Out of Fashion' since becoming a firm favourite in the score of George's own West End musical success TABOO which has won acclaim from the critics and standing ovations at every performance. His voice has never sounded better. Elsewhere on the album Hi-Gate continue to work with their original vocalist Gina as well as the 'angelic' Amanda O'Riordan.

CD 2 is much more of the traditional full-on club sound that many have come to expect from Hi-Gate. Full to the brim with dancefloor tactics, each track is a gem of a different kind. All the previous club hits are featured including the Top 15 hits PITCHIN', CANED & UNABLE and VOICES.

Further individuality comes in the promotion of the album. In keeping with the dual-nature of the package, one track has been selected from each CD and will be uniquely promoted simultaneously in March, though neither will be commercially released as singles. A new vocal version of HURRICANE - performed by SHENA who has previously worked with FULL INTENTION and is currently on tour with LISA STANSFIELD - will be tearing up the clubs while the BOY GEORGE PR machine swings into action to promote OUT OF FASHION. The promotion will culminate with the release of the album in April.
